War and inflation

I’m a child, playing on the carpet of a second-floor bedroom in an embassy, built in the style of a palace. At eight o’clock in the evening, two professional burglars, dressed all in black, swing into my room on a rope, through the balcony leading into my room. I’m frantic with fear.
Both burglars signal me to be quiet and one of them whispers, “Don’t worry. We are on your side. Come with us!”
One on each side of me, they take my hands and lead me through the passages to a room that looks like an office, a conference venue, and a throne room rolled into one. A man dressed in a white-gold suit meets us. He is the leader of a foreign country, the owner of the building, and my father.

The two ‘burglars’ take their balaclavas off. They look friendly, yet stern. I know them. They are spies, in service of my father.
Taking turns, the two spies fill my father in about their latest reconnaissance trip.
One says, “There’s war planned for ‘tomorrow’. We must warn a certain leader that it will begin in the morning.”
As he speaks, I see a vision of a man lying in wait on the plains of South Africa’s hills.
The other says, “All over the world prices have doubled, and people can’t afford food or anything else.”
I want to tell them that what they are talking about is the 4th horse of the Apocalypse, in the Bible.

Interpretation:
We are children in our Father’s care, living with Him in His royal palace. We can rest while He manages world affairs and work out the details of our lives. As citizens of heaven, we are foreigners in the world. We must be careful what we say and do, live wisely in this world.
War and extremely tough financial times are coming soon. The Lord does nothing on the earth, before first revealing it to His prophets.

Our Hope:
God’s angels are with us, to protect us and guide us to the place He has prepared. The Bible already tells of all these things that must happen. And when we live in relationship with God, He prepares our hearts for what He is about to do in our lives and in the world. The war we face is not one against flesh and blood*. Our weapons are not carnal, either.

Scripture Reference:
The Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants, the prophets. (Amo 3:7)

“Listen! I am sending you out just like sheep to a pack of wolves. You must be as cautious as snakes and as gentle as doves. (Mat 10:16)

I looked, and there was a pale-colored horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. They were given authority over one-fourth of the earth to kill through war, famine, disease, and wild animals. (Rev 6:8)

Prayer
Father God, open our spirits’ ears to hear Your warnings and to heed them. Strengthen us so that we will remain firm in faith. Thank you, Lord, that we need not fear future events, but can be still, while we trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
